Pilates is a very safe form of exercising in both ante and post natal periods. It is also a great way to aid relaxation during your pregnancy. Laura and her team have specialist training which allows both ante and post natal clients to attend their classes.

Safe exercises for ante and post natal

If you are looking for safe exercises to participate in during or after your pregnancy Pilates may be the perfect option for you. Pilates is an ideal form of exercise to enable the body to cope with the changes that occur during pregnancy. During pregnancy, Pilates classes focus on maintaining the spinal flexibility and posture as the bump size increases, as well as strengthening those important hip and upper body muscles that you need once baby arrives! The breathing techniques you will learn at Pilates classes may also assist throughout your labour.

Once you have booked a space you will be provided with an information sheet with some basic hints and tips for safely practising Pilates throughout the ante and post natal stages. During a class the instructors will also ensure that exercises are modified appropriately to suit the individual.
