Meet Eithne

I completed my Pilates mat work training with APPI and started teaching classes in 2014 in the NHS and in private practice. I encourage folk to try Pilates either after long periods of inactivity, post injury or even after pregnancy when their confidence to return to exercise can sometimes hold them back. I also advocate Pilates based exercises as a form of rehabilitation for a range of current issues.

I practise as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in private practice having completed all my core rotations in the NHS. On top of teaching classes privately, I teach classes at my work place to aid with individual’s personalised rehabilitation.

Personally not only do I enjoy teaching classes but I enjoy participating in classes myself as I feel it gives me the work out necessary for both my stabilising muscles to aid with injury prevention for my own hobbies which include competing in running and cycling events.

Eithne teaches our Tuesday 5.45-6.45pm and Thursday 7-8pm class at Ruthrieston Community Centre, and both classes are suitable for beginners/intermediate level.  She also teaches our higher level intermediate/advanced class at Ruthrieston Community Centre on Tuesdays at 6.45pm.
